Are you familiar with the phrase, information overload?

If not, be aware! You will soon – because it happens to all new Internet marketers at some time or another.

Information overload is when you simply have too much to learn or absorb – and you feel overwhelmed, frustrated, and more confused than before you had help.

It’s a regular occurrence with this industry because there are so many options you have – an endless array of opportunity.

You can be a product owner and an affiliate at the same time. You can engage with email marketing, building funnels, product development, use article marketing, social marketing, or pay per click campaigns.

Whew! I’m tired already just thinking about it!

If you’re new to the online world, you may not know much about any of the above. Suddenly you’re thrust into an environment where everyone’s got an opinion, they differ and you don’t know where to start!

So . . . calm down and take some of the pressure off of yourself!

All the information you need to digest isn’t going anywhere. It will be here tonight, next week, and a year from now.

Some “newbie,” goes and spends money on a guide, or e-book about Google Ads, then buys another about Substack, and one about Private Label Rights all at the same time. (Sounds like me awhile ago!)

Look out! Information Overload is rapidly approaching on track one!

There’s an old saying, “How do you eat an elephant?”
Answer: One bite at a time.

That’s what they say, but I’m not sure it’s healthy, and you may choke on the tail!

If internet marketing is your elephant then you have to choose where to start nibbling! Learning about social marketing, email marketing, or article marketing – it may not make any difference where you start.

You just need to start by taking the first step, or bite! You may want to check out my signature training program, “First Steps Online,” to help you get a good foundation and understanding about how it all works. (Click HERE for more information)

The point is you’re educating yourself and putting this new-found knowledge to work for you.

As long as you read and engage the information in front of you, and apply your new insight to a method of making money, you’re on the road to success!

Some things won’t make sense to learn before others. If you’re short on funds, then don’t buy (or even download for free) a guide about SEO, webpage optimization, or pay-per-click marketing. Start with something you can do.

You want to invest in small, bite-sized chunks of information you can digest and utilize. Then move on to whatever interests you next – whatever floats your boat. The key is to not get stymied by having too much information and too many choices at once.

Now you know how to prevent Information Overload!

Back to the elephant . . . is the elephant a gray elephant or a white elephant??

All for today . . .

Btw – here in Thailand, the elephant is highly revered and eating one is morally a no-no, or possibly illegal.

So have you read my article about “How to eat a loaf of bread?” 🙂
