Several years ago while driving downtown in Chiangmai, I came to a stop light. While waiting, I glanced over to see a large brown and burgundy crab starting to enter the crosswalk.

I don’t know where he came from, but obviously he was on a mission! Although quite dangerous for him, his claws were stretched into the air like a knight’s sword, ready to ward off anything in his path. And he was strutting – like he owned the whole crosswalk!!

I was intrigued! He was way out of his element!

He passed in front of my car and continued on his way. I’m not sure if he made it safely across the street since the light turned green and I headed for home.

When I got home I jotted down a few lines of the following song, and forgot about it.

For some reason this song came back to me last week and I resurrected the notes and finished the song!

However, I struggled with knowing exactly how this song should sound – country style, groovy-style, slow beat or fast beat!

After about 4 days of trial and error and about 40 different iterations, I completed the following 4 versions.
