Module 6.5: Take a breather!

Catch Your Breath!

A little review and evaluation:

As the old cigarette commercial says, “You’ve come a long way, baby!” (I can’t even remember which brand it represented!)

At this point in your First Steps Online training, let’s pause and make sure I’m not leaving you behind and progressing too fast.

If you feel you’re a little lost and confused, then please don’t proceed any further.  Take a little time, go back, review the modules you’ve struggled with, reread, revisit the concepts and then proceed.

I mentioned in “First Thoughts” this is not a race!  You won’t win a lollipop for being the first to complete this training. I do have something special for you in the last section, “Final Thoughts,” but don’t go there yet!

In subsequent modules, I build upon the foundations established in the first 6 modules. The concepts and methods are more involved and complicated, so lagging behind isn’t going to help you take the next step.

As a “First Stepper,” you don’t want to walk until you can stand.  If a newborn baby tried this then possible leg or muscle deformity could occur which would have severe effects later on.  It’s important you educate yourself and then engage with it before expanding your abilities.  This is a process – you’re on a journey and not yet at a destination.

However, hesitating or taking a breather is no excuse to stop and give up! Pausing to re-evaluate, re-group, re-supply your cup of coffee is oft times important.

Dr. Martin Luther King said this, “If you can’t fly, then run, if you can’t run, then walk, if you can’t walk, then crawl, but whatever you do, you have to keep moving forward.”

My advice: “Keep moving forward, even if your forward movement is measured in millimeters!

I’m drinking a cup of Lanna Coffee, Express Roast. Very full bodied with a touch of nut.

If you are interested in picking up a package of wonderful Thai Coffee, please send me an email at walternigh@gmail.com and I’ll forward the information to you.
