There are times in life when we need to be reminded, we are the body of Christ, and should have the same mind and spirit (Phillipians) as He had. Our lives and lifestyles get so hectic and crazy, very often it’s easy to forget our service to Him. Jesus said if we would give a cup of water, in His name, to the least among us, we’ve done it unto Him.

Let’s be reminded to watch out for the “least among us” and open up our hearts to give as Christ has given us.

(Verse 1)
There’s a body lying on the path
Bloody and bruised, clothes all torn
A righteous man comes and sidesteps past
Not wanting today to break up his norm
Today she sits on the curb in the street
Folks passing by on the thoroughfare
Her dress dirty, she’s got nothing to eat
No one stops, cause no one cares

Contradiction, Contradiction

(Bridge 1)
How can we say we love Him
When there’s so much disconnection
The lifestyle we now live
Is a false Christian addiction

(Chorus)
The body of Christ gotta step up
True service must begin
When we help the least among us
We’ve done it unto Him

(Verse 2)
You can preach with strong conviction
About smoking and the Devil’s drink
But you’ve a six-pack Coke addiction
And you think that’s a normal thing
Your lifestyle spinning in circles
Like water down a bathroom drain
You speak of peace, joy and victory
Yet you’re filled with sorrow and pain

Contradiction, Contradiction

(Chorus 2)
Hypocrisy is saying one thing
Then living another way
Falling short of God’s perfection
Here’s the only thing to say . . .

(Chorus)
The body of Christ must step up
True service must begin
When we help the least among us
We’ve done it unto Him

(Chorus)
The body of Christ must step up
Our service must begin
When we help the least among us
We’ve done it unto Him

(ending)
When we help the least among us
We’ve done it unto Him
