Penny Moon
Glowing in the night
That Copper Orb
Reflecting in your eyes
Silver rays of fading sunlight
A lovely evening, just right

Penny Moon, Penny Moon
So far away, the troubadour croons
Still I wait for her love to bloom
While I wait and watch the Penny Moon

A penny for your thoughts
They used to say
But a Penny Moon
Holds much more sway
I’d give it all
To show my love for you
All wrapped up with a Penny Moon

Penny Moon, Penny Moon
So far away, the troubadour croons
But I’ll still wait for her love to bloom
While I wait and watch the Penny Moon

Yeah, yeah,
Just me and my Penny Moon
Oooh, oooh, oooh,
Just me and my Penny Moon

This song inspired when I saw a large copper-colored moon a couple nights ago. Probably due to our high levels of PM 2.5 lately.

If you enjoyed this little 1930’s style tune, please leave a comment below. Thanks!

I created an instrumental version of the above song with a Clarinet solo. I played the Clarinet in school for many years – concert band and marching band. I was the only guy playing a Clarinet!

Easy listening and soothing to the soul!Ā  šŸ™‚

If you’re not a Clarinet apprecianado, then maybe a nice acoustic guitar sound will soothe your soul and caress your listening ears!
